Bling Bling!

Alma got her ears pierced on March 3rd. She did a really good job while getting them pierced. She screamed because we had to hold her head still and as soon as they were done she was fine. She's a champ and and absolute cutie. Lucia thought it was cool that her sister had pretties like her.

While we were getting ready for the day I left the bathroom for a minute to get the phone. By the time I got back Lucia got into my nail polish and had painted her nails and made a mess on the counter. It was so cute I couldn't get mad at her. When I walked in she said "Look mom it's pretty."

Skagit Aids Project

Today I had the opportunity to walk through the World Vision Aids exhibit at Bethany Covenant Church. The exhibit was amazing to see. I recommend you to go see it if you get a chance. We were even able to put kits together for caregivers of aids patients. The exhibit is free and the caregiver kits are only $30.00 each. The exhibit is this weekend only. Birthday party at school

Lucia got to celebrate her 2nd birthday with her friends at school. She was so happy to make cupcakes for them. She even decorated them herself. This day was an exciting day at preschool for her because the kids brought sack lunches to eat for their snack. Lucia was excited to use her Ariel lunch pail.

Here's Lucia in her mustang she got for her birthday. She loved it but only wanted to drive it if Alma was with her. It already looks like trouble.
Lucia would look at Alma and say "Ready Alma?" Watch out for the Rodriguez girls! I told Lencho this is a glimpse of our future so get ready.

Here she is at her party at Jungle Playland. She was opening gifts but as you can tell she was exhausted so we had to finish opening gifts the next day.

But not to exhausted to eat the frosting off her birthday cupcake.

I can't believe two years have gone by already. Lucia is growing so fast and is an amazing little girl. She keeps us on our toes. Last Saturday we had her birthday at Jungle Playland with our friends and family. She had a blast running around and got some really neat gifts. Thanks again to everyone who came to spend the day with Lucia. It's a blessing to have so many people in her life that love and care for her. She is so blessed and we feel so blessed to have her and Alma with us everyday. I just wish they didn't grow so fast. It's neat to see the different stages they grow through, we are definitely hitting the independent stage with Lucia. She is trying to do everything by herself. She always says "My Turn" or "I do it Mom." We just have to have lots of patience with her. But she is fun to be with and it's fun to watch her grow. We really love to hear her say "I Love you Mommy" and "I love you Daddy" and "I Love you Alma." Today for her birthday we took her to Red Robin for dinner. She loves the happy birthday song. She had a great birthday and tomorrow she is taking cupcakes to her preschool. We frosted and decorated them this evening. Well Happy Birthday Lucia and we love you lots!

Gymnastics!!

Lucia liked to be in the foam pit. At first it was overwhelming because she had a hard time moving around, but after she got the hang of it she didn't want to get out.

Lucia went on a field trip[ with her preschool to go do gymnastics. She had so much fun running around. She really loved jumping on the trampoline. She is no where near a gold medalist yet but she will keep having fun trying to be.

Robert taking out the dent from the bumper after Lencho hit the gaurd rail while driving to his sisters house. Thank goodness for gaurd rails and that it was Lencho and not me. When we hit it Lucia said Whoa Daddy! and started laughing.

We went to Lencho's sisters house and had a snow ball fight with everyone. Here's Lencho's brother Robert thinking he was the best snow ball maker but he's from California and dosent know anything about snow balls.

Lucia out in the snow. She loves to play outside in it. Our neighbor boy takes Lucia out sledding and she has so much fun. It's a struggle to bring her inside. Last time we checked we had 15 inches. Thank goodness the snow has stopped for now. Lets hope for warm weather!

So we took out the paint and started to paint. She loved wearing one of daddy's old shirts and get Messy.

But then her Daddy taught her how to paint herself. So as you can tell she liked painting herself more than the paper.

Happy Halloween!

Lucia was a very cute Minnie Mouse and Alma was a cute pumpkin. I know Lucia doesn't look happy in the picture but she wanted to hurry up and get outside, and her crazy mom kept taking pictures.

We had a good Halloween. We started at the mall which was absolutely crazy. But I guess good for babies and toddlers on such a cold night. Then we went to our friends the Meadows for a Halloween party. Lucia and her daddy went out to a couple of houses to trick or treat but she was cold and tired. She had a fun experience trick or treating. She also won best costume in the kids category in the costume contest at our friends party. We had a good evening but we were all tired and ready to come home at the end of the night. Her candy is put away for only mom and dad to eat, good thing she already forgot about the candy. Lencho and I have to spell candy around her c-a-n-d-y. Before we know it she is going to know what that spells.

Here we are the new family of four on our way home.

Alma Lorena Rodriguez was born on October 18 at 10:49 am. She is very healthy and cute as can be. She has lots of hair, more than her sister did. Lucia loves being a big sister. We are all doing good. We are just trying to figure out how to manage everything with two girls now. Lencho is so proud of his two girls.

We had a nice fall day so we took Lucia to Gordon's pumpkin patch.

Here she is with the pumpkin she picked. Lencho walked her around to look at all the pumpkins but she kept coming back to this one. She was so excited to have picked her very own pumpkin.

But after looking at all the pumpkins she was more interested in the rocks.

Lucia and Moises

This past Thursday Lucia started the toddler program at Trinity Lutheran. She goes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for an hour and a half. She did so good on the first day I actually was able to leave her by herself and go to the grocery store. I think that it was harder for Lencho and I to leave her. She especially loves going becasue Moises is there with her. They both had a really good time. It was so cute to see her walking to her class with her Dora backpack on. The backpack was as big as she was. Hopefully she will continue to have a good time!

Baby Shower Time

So it was that time again to have another baby shower. It was at my mom's house on the 27th of September. Since the weather was so nice we were able to have it outside.
I had lots of fun with my closest friends. We got lots of cute gifts for the baby.
She should be here soon.

Sesame Street

As most of you know Lucia loves Elmo. So we decided to take her to see Sesame Street live this past weekend. She loved it. She was shaking with excitment when they first came out on stage.
She actually sat through the entire show. She danced and sang well actually screamed with them. She had so much fun! We were so glad that we decided to take her. The look on her face was worth it.
Here he is the one and only Elmo. We were in the third row so she got to see them up close. They would walk through the crowd. She enjoyed them on stage but not to close to her. The "Count" from Sesame Street got a little to close to her and she didn't really like that.

Tulip Time

Sorry to our family that came to visit us in April and missed the tulips. The weekend before these pictures were taken we were at the street fair and we got snowed on. So you never know when the tulips will arrive here in Washington.

Surprise!!

So to our surprise we are expecting another baby. We are very excited. I am 3 months pregnant. With a due date of October 25. I know it seems as though we just had Lucia but she's ready to be a big sister. Here's how we told some friends the news. Look at Lucia's face she is so excited.
